August 14, 2018- Huntsville, AL – Teledyne Brown Engineering was announced as one of 23 companies awarded the Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) Family of Systems (FOS) IDIQ contract to further developments and technologies for undersea vehicles. Work under the UUV FOS contract will support research and development to design, develop, build, fabricate and test a family of unmanned undersea vehicles for the Navy.

The UUV FOS contract was awarded by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division in Newport, Rhode Island and has a ceiling value of $561.2 million with options that could raise that amount to $794.5 million. Teledyne Brown Engineering proposed to and was awarded all 12 Functional Areas to include Payloads, Hull and Structure, Propulsion, Energy Storage/Conversion, Electrical Power, Vehicle Controller, Software, Non-Payload Sensors, Vehicle Control Systems, Host Platform Elements, Ashore Elements, and Internal Architecture.
