HUNTSVILLE – Making discoveries are all in a day’s work at CFD Research.

So, it’s fitting the word “discovery” has a major role in the research company’s expansion – as in Discovery Center.

And, on Discovery Drive in, fittingly, Cummings Research Park.

The name was chosen in an employee contest, reflecting its new address. The facility, in the former Davidson Technologies building, adds 21,967 square feet, along with 40 additional offices and room for further growth.

And it’s just a two-minute “walk in the park” from CFD’s headquarters on Moquin Drive.

“We are pleased to expand in Cummings Research Park, gaining the space and flexibility we need near our headquarters,” said CFD President and CEO Sameer Singhal. “This expansion enhances our ability to serve our industry partners and reinforces our commitment to our local community.”

Erin Koshut, executive director of Cummings Research Park, said CFD’s expansion is a show of support for the park in location and importance.

“We are excited to not only see the continued growth of CFD Research but are also thrilled that Sameer and his team chose to grow in CRP,” she said. “Advocating for and supporting our park companies’ growing needs, especially one of our homegrown small businesses, is at the heart of what Research Park does.”

Singhal credited the expansion to the hard work of CFD’s employee-owners.

“Their dedication has not only made this growth possible but also recently earned us a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the fourth year,” he said.
