Huntsville, AL – CFD Research Corporation spins out a digital health company, TheraVista Health Inc., focused on the physical therapy market. The new corporation is a joint venture between CFD Research and OtherLeft Ventures.
TheraVista Health announces the launch of its new platform that digitizes traditional vestibular exercises into fun and engaging tablet-based games. The treatment program is customized and managed by the patient’s vestibular therapist and allows for remote therapeutic monitoring and reimbursement.
“This technology was developed as part of a NIH SBIR Project with the goal of making vestibular therapy more accessible and engaging for patients, while also providing a tool for therapists to track progress and optimize treatment plans”, said Dr. Paulien Roos, Principal Investigator at CFD Research Corporation.
In conjunction with the company formation, Mr. Scott Frederick was recruited to serve as CEO for the new venture. Mr. Frederick has previous Executive level experience from PointClear Solutions and Contessa Health. At Contessa Health he helped pioneer at-home inpatient hospital care and set the company on the path to a successful exit.
