Teledyne Brown Engineering awarded contract to continue supporting ISS payload operations

HUNTSVILLE, AL – November 15, 2019 – NASA has announced the award of a second extension of the Mission Operations and Integration (MO&I) contract, to Teledyne Brown Engineering.  Under this contract, Teledyne will continue to provide payload operations in support of the International Space Station (ISS) from Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL and Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

Teledyne Brown Engineering has managed ISS Payload Operations for over 20 years, supplying over 150,000 hours of 24/7 support.  With this extension, the company will continue to help NASA prepare missions, manage spaceflight operations, and train both crew and flight controllers.

“Through this program, we help connect the ISS astronauts with ground operations, providing support and guidance throughout their missions,” stated Jan Hess, President of Teledyne Brown Engineering.  “We are so honored to support NASA, the ISS crew and the amazing achievements they are making every day.”

The award extends Teledyne Brown Engineering’s contract to September of 2020, with two additional six-month option periods.
