Researchers Visit Huntsville to Learn About Treating Diseases Through Genomic Technologies

Hundreds of researchers are in Huntsville learning more about the immune system and the development of disease.

The Immunogenomics Conference brings together more than 200 researchers from around the globe exploring the application of genomic technologies. The conference allow scientists to discover how immunogenomics will help with treatment of diseases like cancer.

“How do we learn from the immune system? How they diagnose disease? How they treat disease? That will be the shortcut instead of doing many years of research to find out what’s the cause of the disease. Now we can just learn it from our immune system which is much smarter than human beings,” said Jian Han with HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology.

This his the sixth year HudsonAlpha has hosted the conference.
